Melissa & Jeff, Sanctuary Golf Course
I had the best wedding on Sat. You know, I often get hired by couples who are a little older than your typical newlyweds, who are on their 2nd marriage, etc. I LOVE these kind of clients. It’s like they know exactly what they want, they are so concerned about their guests, than anything else, and they want amazing photography because often they skimped on a photographer on their first marriage only to realize later, how incredibly important great photography is on this occasion. (OK, my biased opinion, but I have had couples tell me that, so it’s not totally a fantasy of mine).
All of my clients are so cool, though. I have gotten lucky, I don’t even remember the last bride that I didn’t just LOVE… except this one bride named Nancy Jacobs. HOLY COW was she ever a PAIN! Nancy, if you’re out there, you better stay off my blog!
Just kidding, I never photographed for a “Nancy Jacobs”, I just made up that story. Seriously though, everyone I have worked with really has been great, and totally laid back.
Jeff has a “special needs” son, who doesn’t speak much. In fact I don’t think I heard him say a single word. I was a lot like that when I was a kid, I didn’t talk much, I was more of an observer. I guess I still am. I think he was especially a neat kid and even though he doesn’t talk much, I bet he has a whole lot to say.
Also a big thanks to Marianne from Sanctuary. She was so great to work with. She keeps things on track really well. I have worked with so many catering managers, and she was all smiles and so easy to work with. If I were a bride, I would be super relaxed knowing she was overseeing my wedding.
OK, Photos:

Melissa and Jeff… great light!

I love this shot. I know her name, but not her relationship to Melissa… sister? She was so great to photograph. Melissa in the foreground.

Sanctuary Golf Course is known for their spectacular sunsets. We were not let down.

Thoughtful “thank you gifts” from the Bride and Groom for guests as they started to head home for the evening.

And finally, 108 more images from this fun, fun, wedding:

Beautiful. I loved the sequence of the flower girl tossing her basket into the air (in the slideshow).
