Beaver Creek day-trip, and my Southern Friends!

Sunday I drove out to Beaver Creek, CO, which is right there in Vail Valley, to hang out with my family (Jenny and G) and to visit some out of town friends (Katie and Mivvi). It was a great way to spend a Sunday.

Katie and Mivvi (her younger sister) were getting spa treatment all day, until 4:30. But they made good use of their time, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, paragliding (run off a mountain with a parachute). So their last day they decided to pamper theyselves. (that was an intentional grammatical error, I like the way “pamper” and “theyselves” go together!).

So Jenny and I had some time to pudtz around.

Jenny took this shot of my and my boy. Oh, hey - While I am at it, I gotta say my photographer friends Dave and Lynn (I shot their AWESOME wedding last year!) had a loss. Their dog got cancer and passed away with only a week’s notice. I’m thinking of you guys! Non dog-owners scoff at the mourning that we face when we lose a dog, but being a dog owner, I sympathize. Sad news.

We had some GREAT pizza and Italian Beer (SPLURGE DAY!). Gary loves imported beer.

Meet Katie and Mivvi, fresh from their spa treatment. They said that some lady shoved MUD all over their faces and stuck cucumbers into their eyes! That sounds FAR from relaxing! I am so glad they’re OK!

They felt so good, that they wanted to JUMP!

I was not allowed to jump because the weight cutoff was 180. DANG! I will show them, I will go back once I lose my weight!!!

It was great seeing you guys! Mivvi, I fully expect to photograph your wedding. Now go get engaged!

Oh I gotta give props to Katie. She was one of my best friends in college when we lived in dorms. She and my other friend Reba and myself used to hang all the time. I was like Jack Tripper, hanging out with these two good lookin girls. People probably thought I was gay, but it was fun. Kind of like a cross between Threes Company and Charlies Angels. Ha! Now Katie is married to John-Law and has 2 kids in Birmingham. Even though I rarely even talk to katie, no less actually SEE her, I still consider Katie one of my greatest friends of all time. Great seeing you!

I promised Jenny I wouldn’t take credit for this next photo. I took it, but only because Jenny honked at me and pointed out the bear (we were in different cars) driving back to the highway in Beaver Creek. That bear has no money! He has no business hanging out in BEAVER CREEK! GET OUTTA HERE, ya BUM!

(actually I LOVE bears and have seen a small handful in real life, such AMAZING animals!!!)

OK I said I’m gonna do it and here it goes, my diet today. I am going to make this a link so I am not FORCING my good peeps to see what I consume, yet provide an option for interested peeps. I plan on getting CRAZY fit, so I am sure some peeps are going to want to know how I did it. (let’s hope)

Just 11 weeks and 6 days until I reach my goal!

7:10 AM: 3 Egg Whites on a whole wheat english muffin. Coffee
9:59 AM: ZONE bar
12:00 PM: General Tso’s Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer (they are SOOOOO great, check it out in your freezer section)
2:11 PM: Handful of raw almonds. One Banana.
4:26 PM: Three turkey dogs, 99% fat free. Two of which had a 100% whole wheat bun. One with no bun. mmmmm
7:36 PM: Another Healthy Choice Steamer! Chicken and Shrimp cajun style
9:34 PM: Protien Puddin! Thanks Jenny! It’s sugar free, fat free instant pudding mixed with protien powder
Day one of NO CHEATING, not even a little tiny jellybean!

EXERCISE:
Daily commute to the studio on the bike (approx 40 min, round trip)
Early AM weights, 1 hour, upper body.
