FITDAY!
I discovered something wonderful today!
You know my plan to post my diet and workout and weight progress here on sixpeeps? Well yesterday I decided that it’s not something I want to post at the end of every blog post. I want it to be available though because it’s motivating to me to know that some of my peeps are watching me. It’s good, healthy pressure. But I didn’t want to just put it on every post, newcomers would be confused.
So I found this site, and holy cow, it’s exactly what I need! My peeps can track my progress, see what I eat each day, what kind of exersize I got, and follow my pursuit for Navy Seal fitness… every day! You’ll get to see if I am losing weight, kind of like watching The Biggest Loser, right? ha! Make sure you visit on Sundays too, because I think it will be fun to post my splurge food. It might make you sick!
So here goes, I succesfully went two days in a row without cheating and I burned way more calories than consumed.

Oh and I have been getting comments and email demanding that I post my before photo. I’ll tell you what. I will post my before and after photo on 10/23/07. So put a reminder in your calendar and hassle me when that day comes. I will post before and after. I have done this before and the results were great, but I still did some things wrong and this go-round will be a LOT more dramatic. So I wont post it now, but check back in 12 weeks.
edit: Here’s my “before” photo. (My sister Gina said that if I were obese, I’d look like Attourney Frank Azar, who advertises on all the day-time trash TV commercials)

This has been a fun challenge. I need to take in more protien, but otherwise, I think I had a really healthy day! Just 11 weeks and 5 days to go!
CHECK OUT MY FIT DAY!
FYI, I lift weights MON and FRI, and run Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat. Sunday is my day off and I can also eat anything and everything I want! My goal is to get down to 185. I got down to 187 a while back and it was so great. I felt athletic. I don’t feel athletic now, but I know I can get there again. Wish me luck!
I also ride my bike almost everywhere I go, including a 40 minute round-trip to the studio each day. But I am not allowed to let that count as my “cardio”.

Hey Mark- that’s cool! It’s always nice to get back in the swing of ~trying~ to be healthy. I have to share MY favorite too- have you considered a PDA program? I used a website similar to FitDay a while back and liked it, but now I use one on my Palm called Diet and Exercise Assistant that does almost exactly what your FitDay stuff does. What’s better is that it’s MUCH easier to stick to because you can enter things as you’re out and about. I don’t know what/if PDA you use, but if you are interested, check out my full “epinions” review of the software. Cheers to health!!

Thanks Laura, but I don’t carry a Palm Pilot, just my blackberry, but I can get online and enter all this stuff straight to the web site wherever I have a signal.
I like the online software because I can blog it and it keeps me honest!

I like your daily updates. You should do them everyday. It’s not like you have anything else going on, ha! Don’t mess with the the Strong Arm Azar. He got me $10,000 in my auto accident. Peace.

thanks for the comment over at my site. fitday is a wonderful tool. a free one too. one thing, you should enter sleep as an activity as it effects you daily calories burned number. people burn less calories when sleeping. keep up the great effort.
