Staci & Jamie… THE BIG DAY
I know that Jamie is anxiously stopping by my photo web-journal (I am trying to find a new name for “blog”. I am sick of the name “blog”). Anyway, I thought about waiting a few more days, just to mess with him, but what the heck, I’ll post now.
This was like no wedding I’ve ever photographed… and in a good way! I didn’t know what to expect heading out to Iowa. All I could think about was “corn” (yes there’s lots of it there) and “Boys Don’t Cry”, which was one of those happy-go-lucky at the beginning, jaw-dropping ending kind of movies. Now, thankfully, I have great memories of Iowa and a whole new perception.
The people are sooooo nice out there, and so accomodating. Everyone just seems good and honest and they appreciate family, friends, and the simple things life has to offer.
Carroll, IA is Staci’s home town, but she went off to Iowa State Univ., and since packed up and moved to the City (Denver!).
Enough of the jibba-jabba, lets cut to the chase with some photography!
The couple! I didn’t know Jamie too well in High School but now I am learning what a great guy he is. We even did a little skiing up at A-Basin last winter, which was a great time.

The guys started the wedding day with an early 7:45 AM tee time. It was raining, too but that didn’t stop them from swingin a club around. Here’s the Father of the Groom. Nice shot!

Ryan, a groomsman also went to my high school, and we went to college together too!

Meanwhile at Staci’s mom’s place, more serious pre-wedding activities were going on. Yes, I am able to shoot at two places at once. I will not tell you how I do it. ![]()

Always a special bond between mom and daughter on her wedding day. Can I have a hug too, guys?

–OOPS I HIT PUBLISH TOO SOON! COME BACK IN 20 MINUTES FOR THE REST OF THIS POST!!!–

Jamie and Staci saw each other before the wedding. I love being the only witness of this. A really special moment.
Here’s a nice shot of the flower-girl, pre ceremony

Staci went for a cruise with her dad mano-e–uhmmm-womano before the ceremony.

Love the sweet country touches at this MidWest small-town wedding ceremony

There’s the MOB again!

–DANG, still working on this but have to run for a meeting… come back later to see how this wedding ended! Did they go through with it? I’ll do the ol’ “TO BE CONTINUED” to keep the suspense going. Come back later! –
EDIT: OK, meeting is done (with dir. advertising for the Pointe Hilton Resorts in AZ. Guess what, I’m their newest preferred photographer at both AZ locations and my work is going to be plastered over their web site and print advertising! Awesome! OK… now I am at the airport. I love Sky Harbor, FREE INTERNET!)
OK back to the photography? I am sure everyone who experienced my latest series of hiccups in this post are DYING to know if Jamie and Staci went through with their marriage…
…YES!!! CONGRATULATIONS JAMIE AND STACI!!!!! (phew! I was nervous!)

here’s another shot of Jamie and his grandfather. Jamie’s grandfather reminded me SO much of my own. He is a kind, gentile, man, and with a fantastic sense of humor. He recited a really cool poem he wrote for Jamie and Staci at the rehearsal dinner. His voice is even like my own grandfather’s, resembled that of Brooks from Shawshank Redemption. So cool.

Off to the reception. I know my friend Jim and my girlfriend, Jenny would both disapprove of me taking photos while driving. But I am a trained professional. It’s only about 10,000,000 X’s more dangerous than texting while driving.

The reception was at Randy’s Diesel Repair. I got this shot during a lightning show outside the tents that were set up. 30 second exposure at 11PM!
Iowa:

Here’s a nice shot of Jamie and his sister. His sister has “peanut arms” that Jenny always talks about with such admiration. (Arms are so tone that they take the shape of a peanut!)

OK there you have it… what’s that? More photos of Staci??? OK!
