Stranger than Fiction, Happy Labor Day!
I’m off to photograph a really cool wedding tomorrow at the Broadmoor Hotel, Colorado Springs. Stay tuned!
HEY! I wanted to tell you about a really great movie Jenny and I rented this week! I am totally going to buy this one, it was just a creative plot, super well-done, and WOW, that was the best acting I have seen in a long time by Will Ferrell of all peeps! He was SO good and this was not his typical silly slapstick kind of role.
Do yourself a favor and rent it, it’s so great!
Have a happy Labor Day Weekend!!! I am taking the day off! Yay! Jenny and I (and Gary of course) will be out on a long hike, then we’re going to hang out with my well-respected photographer friend, Kent Meireis. I like Kent because we can hang and I just love hearing him talk about photography and food and life and checking out his awesome vegetable garden and all sorts of stuff… he doesn’t front a friendship, later to disappoint me with some sort of passive aggressive comment. I’m real picky of what photographers in the area I hang out with. I have become “friends” with some photographers, had them out to my studio, shared a lot of things with, etc… only later to find that they are really just meddling and I have played the fool! Kent is a lot different and I totally trust and respect him and Jenny and I LOVE hanging out with him and his wife.
So I have a lot to look forward to this weekend! Next week will be a big SIXPEEPS week so stay tuned!
FITDAY report: It’s week 7 of 12! Still have not cheated or missed a workout. Last night I was at a rehearsal dinner and there was some great looking food but it’s getting so much easier to just say “no thanks”. Splurge day is not on Sunday this week, Monday is my day off so tomorrow is splurge day. I can’t wait for a greasy, cheesey breakfast somewhere!

I loved Stranger Than Fiction! I immediately went out and bought it after seeing it. And, I actually have you to thank for Born Into Brothels!

I saw this with Angie and the Struck’s. Angie hated it, but Struck and I liked it. I can’t remember where Jen stood on the issue.

Wow this post got me some comments! Thanks Gloria! Thanks Jacquelyn (good hearing from you again!) and Davis, I am concerned of your choice of wife now that I hear of her not loving Stranger than Fiction. Tsk tsk. But I will still photograph your wedding. You, your double chin, and your pretty fiance’ but who hates great movies. Why did she hate it?
