FITDAY Commando Diet: 7 Weeks Result Photos
OK, I’m about half way there. To remind you, here’s Rory Palazzo’s 12 week before and after BFL challenge photos. As my regulars here know, I am out to put him to shame. OK, well maybe not, but I want to see if these results really are possible with my own twist. Jenny thinks that I have now lost some “thickness” and what I should see in my second half is more toning and definition. We’ll post another photo on Oct 13ish to see if I look anything like Rory here:

I think my “before” photo looks a lot more chunky than Rory’s, so I will have to work a little harder. Here’s my before photo. Hey look, it’s Frank Azar! Notice the gut hanging over my belt, the man boobs, the double chin and the cow lick. Terence took this on our summit of Mt. Shavano this year. I was carrying two 10 lb bags of potatos on that entire hike! What’s really sad here, is that I knew T was taking my photo so I was actually sucking in! ha!

Oh that’s HIDEOUS! What a fat guy!
7 weeks later and 20 lbs lighter: (thanks Jason for shooting that photo) I hope to see some abs next photo! I’m wearing the same shorts simply by coincidence.

OK looking a little better, but still no comparison to Rory up there.
Here’s a back photo too.
Before… (ohhhh disgusting BACK FAT! Rolls of it! GROSS!) Nothing looks worse on a fat back than a sunburn.

7 weeks later, after of lots of biking and running and eating healthy. bye bye fat rolls! Bye bye tattoo! That’s the only thing I did with the photoshop in case you’re wondering. I just took off the regretful tatt! No digital liposuction though. This is otherwise straight from the camera.

So there you have it. Check back Oct. 13 for the final results.

Thanks everyone! Now that I know how freakin hard it is to lose 20 lbs, I’m going to make sure I don’t ever let myself get all fat and nasty again!
OK, ten more pounds to lose and I will be 185, which is my final goal.

Well done, Mark! You’re getting some great results! Keep it up and don’t lose heart. It has to become a lifestyle change, not just a sprint. You’re an inspiration, man.

Thanks Aham, Christian…
Just so you all know, this Aham guy was my original inspiration. Check out his flickr progression, it’s a-freakin-mazing. http://www.flickr.com/photos/aham23/126128059/in/set-72157594256132467/
And Christian, trust me I know. The first time I did this, I had OK results, after the 12 weeks I had the mentality that I was fit for life, went to CA, relaxed and ate out and drank tons of cocktails… and fell straight back to my ways.
The second time, I went to Vegas and the same thing happened.
This time, I am committing myself to the 12 week challenge with like 10 times the intensity. I have planned for my post-12 week challenge. The end of October, I move back into the A-Frame in the mountains for the ski season. I’ll be faced with hanging out with my poker-playing, pizza eating, beer and whiskey drinking, burger night, ski buddies. Even with all the skiing I do, it’s still possible to get fat again. So I am prepared and I have put together a plan that I am excited about.
I have worked so hard so many times to lose weight and get to an “ideal” level of fitness only to blow it one too many times. October 13 will NOT be the end. I plan on having a lot of fun with my new body, entering snowshoeing races and running races, and would like to start racing bikes again next year. Also I will be joining the incline club again for Sunday runs up Pike’s Peak (they run all winter http://www.inclineclub.com).
So I have learned my lessons!
