Kara and Jason, Winter Park, CO!
oh boy oh boy oh boy, am I ever excited to post this wedding. I am trying to get caught up in my wedding blog posts!
Meet Kara and Jason! Another couple who HATES posed photos. Well I can say that for Jason, not as much for Kara! Either way we got a few nice posed shots, but of course I was just tickled to death that they wanted me to just go and do my thing and get some great candid shots. I work SO WELL when my clients give me that creative freedom. Thanks guys!
And we’ll rewind again to tell a little story. OK, come sit on my knee, I have a real romantic story to tell. OK that was creepy. Sorry.
This is Frank Coppola, Kara’s dad. Kara said her dad wanted to meet the photographer, but then she told him, “Don’t worry, he’s Italian!”, and he was suddenly at ease. I love it. I want to shoot a lot more Italian weddings. They are just such cool peeps!
Like a real mafioso, he’s lighting up a fine cigar.

Jason surprised Kara with this awesome pearl bracelet. That’s Kara’s mom, holding her hand, checking it out.

The wedding took place at a really cool ranch. I noticed this 1940’s Chevy immediately after walking to the ranch. Holy sweetness! No kidding, this baby was in MINT condition. WOW!

Here’s another shot of some perftastically delegant jewelry.

Flower girl getting primped… (speaking of flowers, their florist, PICK ME! WINTER PARK did such a great job on this wedding - see below!)

Some more details, Kara wore flip flops. I love her style.

I love this shot of Kara. I wish I knew what was said to prompt this reaction.

Time for a cool country ceremony.

A pickup truck is her limousine, and her favoraaate dress is her faded blue janes. I’m glad she didn’t wear blue jeans, but I love the truck.

I love this shot! I love how there’s an arm reaching out to touch the bride! That’s nice!

Kara has twin sisters who are also extremely talented Country and Western Singers. Uhhhh HELLO! American Idol!!!

There’s Jason - he hated being posed, so I just told him to make out with his wife. Worked!

At the reception: A perfect time to read the Andiamo Daily.

I LOVE live italian music with the accordian, it adds such a cool touch of authenticity!

Now here’s a true Colorado Sunset! I think some romantic scenics is a good way to end this post.

Thanks for having me, Kara and Jason, that was a GREAT GREAT day!!!
