Tom & Nicole: Sedona Destination Engagement
The weekend before last I got to do an enagement shoot in Sedona for Tom and Nicole who will be getting married in just a couple months!
Originally I was just going to shoot up to Sedona from Scottsdale and head back that same night, but then Tom and Nicole invited me to hit some golf with them so I ended up staying in Sedona… which was a good thing because the entire first day it just POURED with rain. The weather teased us for hours. We could always see a spot of clear sky. Then the rain would slow down, and right as we were getting ready to shoot, it would start pouring again.
This was our view from the car for most of the day:

The clouds made for some nice dramatic settings and eventually we just decided to get a little wet and capitalize off of that. Consequently these are some of my fav shots from the two days!

I ended up having to drag these two from our hotel the next morning at 6AM. It was worth it. The scenery in Sedona is a real treat and if anyone has the opportunity, I highly recommend a short trip to this magestical wonder of the world!
We photographed for about 30 minutes and headed straight to the golf course where we all played a full 18 holes! That was so much fun. I love golfing with these two. They aren’t afraid to take a mulligan every once in a while and we were all just about on the same level, which was really nice. As you can see, they have beautiful swings!

Thanks, Tom, Nicole… for such a good time! I am so pumped to photograph your wedding in Nov… followed by some day-after beach photos out in Dana Point!
OK to finish this off, I thought I’d share a few scenic photos that I was able to capture while I was out there. Tom and Nicole were so nice about letting me stop, like a million times to get some scenery shots! Here are a few more reasons for my peeps to make a trip to Sedona:
