PORTLAND: Ash & Bridget

OK I have three days to get caught up on my blogging, ready set GO!

Meet Ash and Bridgett - Ash and Bridgett are in this circle of friends of which I have photographed like 10 weddings in the last 3 years. I’m not kidding. It’s so cool. They are such great peeps, too and I can’t say enough great things about them both as a couple and as individuals. They were just awesome to work with. Enough talk, let me introduce you!

Oh natural light, how you please me so.

OOPS! That’s not exactly what I meant, although it is very good beer. I love the Natural Light that was provided for this great shot of Gramps!

Nice Portland shot of the lovely ladies. I love those Steel Bridges!

A passer by? Nah, one of the bridesmaides boyfriend. He did not like being left out!

I think it’s the candid moments like these that my couples will really love in 20 years from now as they go back to look at their wedding album!

I’ve sort of developed a reputation for taking great candid shots, but I still have fun with a few posed shots as well. I just don’t spend more than 15-20 minutes on them. I can bust out a pretty decent list super fast and still get some good lookin shots.

…and while they’re set up, I’ll sneak up and get a few closer-up shots which are nice, too. When I take these, they are like, “what is he doing???” Turns out this is one of my favorite shots of Ash and I like that there are people inthe background.

Soon we had Ash wait by the pier to see his bride for the first time. Ash stood here for a good few minutes. I always wonder what goes through their mind as they wait.

Here she comes!

A few more shots… Bridget really wanted some “fall-looking” photos. So we made some!

Great stuff. I love all the bridges out here in Stumptown. I’ve been thinking about taking a day and shooting a few of them. I think that is “the” Steel Bridge in the background of that shot.
