Colorado Fall Colors!
These are some photos I got from a recent trip that Jenny, Gary and I took. One quick note about the photos: As a purist effort in the digital age, I decided to keep the photoshop at a minimum and rely more on my photographic skills. It was hard not to bump the saturation on some of these to make them look REALLY mystifying, but I think on metallic paper or canvas, they will still make awesome prints! I hope you enjoy!

He was born in the summer of his 27th year

But the Colorado rocky mountain high
I’ve seen it rainin’ fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye
Rocky mountain high
He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below
He saw everything as far as you can see
And they say that he got crazy once and he tried to touch the sun
And he lost a friend but kept his memory
Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams
Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake
And the Colorado rocky mountain high
I’ve seen it rainin’ fire in the sky
You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply
Rocky mountain high
Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land
And the Colorado rocky mountain high
I’ve seen it rainin’ fire in the sky
I know he’d be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly

Friends around the campfire and everybody’s high

And even more importantly, my FAMILY! Thanks Jenny, for dragging me away from the office. I almost tried to flake out on this trip because I was (and still AM) totally buried in work. I kept coming up with other vacation options for a later date. But Jenny reminded me that sometimes you just have to allow yourself to be a little selfish and do things for your soul. Life is short. The fall season only comes once a year and it’s hard to catch. I don’t know if I will have one or 50 more fall seasons to enjoy. Thanks Jenny, I love you!
(since Jenny drug me away from my work, I woke her up at 5:30 AM to get a sunrise shot of the Maroon Bells while we were there. 
She’s a good sport!
Gary had a tantrum when we tied him up for 5 minutes so that we could take photos, but he was still so great to have on the trip!

hah, nahhhhh I don’t want to make a big deal about it. It mostly happens from photographers across the country who figure they are so far away that they would never get caught. But still I don’t understand why people would steal ANYTHING. A bike, jewelry, photos, whatever. If it’s not yours, then what would possess you to try to just TAKE it from someone else? I wish there were no such thing as locks and alarms, yada yada yada.
