Luke & Meagan, Beaver Creek / Vail Colorado
Yay, a Colorado wedding! I was telling the girl cutting my hair today that this year it seems I have photographed more weddings outside of CO, than IN Colorado. Probably not true, but it sure feels like it.
I wasn’t going to blog this wedding because the groom, Luke, is a Lawyer, and that makes me nervous! But today I got an email from him, “I guess it is good to know that my reputation in Denver as a no-holds-barred litigator who will take anyone to court at the drop of a hat is intact – but in my personal life I am probably the least litigious person you will ever meet (doing this for a living, you realize it is no fun to be in legal disputes). It’s Meagan you have to watch out for – total fireball.”
OK mister, I am keeping that email for EVIDENCE, and if you decide to sue me, I’ll have you know, I have Frank D. Azar, the STRONGARM on my side! I saw him on TV and he told me so.
Seriously I am really excited to blog this wedding. It came out so well, it would be ashamed for me not to get to share it with my peeps.
Let’s start with a nice shot of the good lookin couple. These two are both super nice people. Photography was super important to them. One woman came to me at the wedding and said, “I hear you are very expensive!”. I didn’t know quite how to respond to that, so I just said, “Don’t worry, I am totally worth it!” - she said, “that’s what I hear!”. OK I am glad we agreed!
Anyway, that said, I really appreciate you guys having me out to capture your wedding!!! Always an honor!
Rewind! When I got there, I was immediately excited about the awesome fall colors.

Then I saw Meagan and I knew my job today was going to be a piece of cake!

I love this shot of Meagan and her dad before the ceremony

Meagan and her mom, who says she frequents sixpeeps.com

Luke plays air guitar on a groomsman’s leg. He played “Mother” by Danzig and it was AWESOME.

Flower girl and ring bearer get this party started.

I caught mom getting a little teary-eyed.

I didn’t hear what was said here, but this groomsman must have really said something awful to solicit a violent slap in the face by the mother of the bride!

Luke, looking great! He told me that he too was on a mission to lose weight and he actually got down to 175 from 205. Awesome - he looks great.

(got a lot of really nice photos of the bride and groom)

Off to the reception on a beautiful fall evening…

One of my favorite things about shooting weddings is taking that fly on the wall approach, casually roaming the cocktail hour, and getting great shots of the guests in their natural state! “CHEESE!” not spoken here.

Forgive me but sometimes I even seek my own comic relief. The most easy target when I need an inner chuckle - people eating.
Here’s a secret, I do this almost once every wedding. This is the first time I have ever blogged it. I don’t do it to disrespect anyone. I do it because it makes me snort a little laugh and helps me to forget about my achin’ feets!
I also made sure to get a good shot of this guy later on at the reception. I remember this guy had a serious East Coast accent. I loved catching shorts of his conversation every time I would walk by him. I like this guy!

That’s all for now. Thanks again Luke Meagan! I really had a great time!!! Beautiful wedding!!!

I was going to say that the pic of the bride and her dad was my favorite, but then I scrolled down and saw the mom with the football - best EVER!

Hi Mark! Oh my gosh, I am so glad you put these up…they came out beautiful. Now that we are home from the honeymoon and all settled it is so much fun to get to look at a few shots and remember the moments! I must have been laughing a LOT!
Can’t wait to see the rest.
p.s. You ARE totally worth it!

OK, I won’t sue you for posting the pictures…but I will sue you for implying that Frank Azar could beat me in court!
The pictures are amazing. Thanks a bunch for posting them.
Good luck with your traffic case up in Vail — if you need a good lawyer, feel free to call the Strong Arm.
