NYC, take 1!!!
Wow, this has been a great Christmas! I have felt really relaxed for the first time in a while. Feels so great to be among all my family, except for my mom who was in FL. Nevertheless, I’m starting to feel guilty so it’s about time I get back to work. I have a TON of stuff to do and I’m a little overwhelmed but that’s OK. Thankfully this year I have a great team of peeps helping me.
How about a little catch-up blogging? From NY!
Before I go any further, THANK YOU to Ryan here (tall guy), who let Jenny and I (short guy) have his Greenwich condo, right there in Manhattan, all to ourselves for the whole time we were there. Ryan is an awesome guy, I hope to be skiing in Switzerland with him on Easter weekend. Let’s do it Ryan!

Day one: Jenny and I began our trek at the Spotted Pig for lunch. Supposedly it’s owned by Bono. The food was AWESOME! Jenny is excited.

I love taking photos of puddles, and there were many to be found in NYC. Jenny was nice enough to allow me to make sudden stops to take photos at the ground. I am a wierdo.

Jenny took this photo of me being a creepy guy!

The night before I proposed, Jenny and I finished our day in Ryan’s Manhattan Apt. with some real NYC pizza, Ginger Ale and Sabado Night Live! It was a rerun but a good one with Justin Timberlake… remember the “BLANK in a BOX!!!!!” skit? Photo by Jenny!

Fun City shot. I like the bike cruising by.

Jenny found two cigars in a cab that we rode in and she let me have them! They were wrapped and safe from germs so I smoked one of em!

Here’s Paige. I know Paige from way back in her diaper days. One distinct memory is getting flipped off by her when she was still in elementary school as she was riding her bike. I was in my truck, driving. I still remember the look of extreme hatred in her eyes as she rode by with her middle finger in the air. I still don’t know what I did to deserve that. That’s her “boyfriend” in the background. Paige is still looking for a job in NYC and her dad is begging me to give her a plug so that he can stop paying her rent out there. She had a temp job with potential to earn a REAL position with a company, but it quickly ended when she got in a fight with the paper shredder (true story).

We went for food at this Singapore Cafe. I have been searching for YEARS to find a place that serves Roti Prata, an Indian Pancake that you dip into a curry sauce. They had it and it was AWESOME! The last time I had Roti like that was actually in Singapore after a late night of partying in downtown Singapore. It’s the perfect late night indulgence.

Here’s Jenny again! I love this girl! I bought Jenny a new hat. It’s cute!

In return, she bought ME a hat! I am still getting use to it, but I like it! Taken on our train back to the airport…

That’s all I gots for now. More to come. This trip may take three posts to finish! We had such a great time and it was the perfect holiday setting for an engagement!! YAY!

I watched Saturday Night Live that night too! I love that episode… even that skit that is on the tv. He says “SOUP there it is!”
I want a bite of that pizza too. And Jenny’s socks look so comfy soft– and bright white! Either she uses bleach, or those are brand new! And, the only thing that would have made that night better is if that were real beer. Ice cold.
