Josie & Matt, Engaged! Let’s do LODO!

I think it’s funny, “I proposed” and “We’re Engaged”… sounds so businessy. That was just a random thought. As I photographed these two, I couldn’t stop thinking about what it’s going to be like on the other side, now that I am newly engaged! I told them I am sort of dreading having my own engagement photos. I HATE having my photo taken by other people. I prefer casual shots of Jenny and I on trips that we go on. I cringe at the thought of “getting ready” to have our photos taken. I sort of just wish I could take my own engagement photos. Oh well.

I hope that I’ll be as natural in front of the camera as these two were for me. I really loved working with these three (they brought their dog, a really beautiful Weimareiner (yeah I know I can’t spell)). I almost rode my bike out to the shoot, which I have done on occasion. I can put all my gear in my bike bags just fine… but sometimes I feel self-conscious, like my clients are going to be like, “OK, do you have a car???” or “You are not going to show up to our wedding on a bike, are you???” etc.. Of course not!

Well what I learned is that these two are Cat 2 competitive cyclists. Really cool! When I used to raced I was cat 4. That means “beginner”. You have to be pretty hard core to get to Cat 2! So I don’t think they’d care if I showed up on my bike. It’s what I love about Colorado brides. For the most part they are really cool and easy going, etc.

OK OK I will stop my jibba-jabba. How about some photos. I haven’t posted work photos in a while. It’s hardly work, but you know… This was actually the LAST photo we took today…. but I am posting it FIRST… because I am CRAZY like that!
