GUMPIN’ IT!
Today I realized that I hadn’t yet added photos from this amazing Indian Wedding to my website (CAFIEROPHOTOGAPHERS.COM)
I knew what I was doing, but what was I thinking??? I remember this wedding well, and so do my feet. They were begging for mercy by the end of that wedding!
Remember this wedding? I decided to add some vertical shots to my web site. These are the only vert shots on my site.

Some other random thoughts:
Remember my cousin Alex? You might remember him from all the Quizno’s commercials. Well now, ironically enough, he’s in a Nike ad! Well done Alex, as usual you never cease to amaze me cuzzzz! (he’s in the top ad, “Eric” (his real name is Alex).
Sia is a new band and I heard them for the first time on Conan O’Brien. Gotta admit I was like, “who are these hippies” when I first saw them. The pianist had a sucker in his mouth. I was all, “FER SERIOUS??? is that like, his trademark or something??? PUHLEEEZE!. Then I listened and I love them! I just bought their whole CD on iTunes.
This evening I went downstairs from my studio to get a latte at Starbucks. This girl who workes behind the counter is a tomboy and a little bit “out there”. But today she said something that sounded totally stupid, but once again I thought about it and decided she is a genious. I made a remark (I forgot what I said to get this reply) to which she responded, “That’s funny. It’s also Sad. But then again, sad is also funny.”
HUHHH???
I asked her “what the hell are you talking about???”. She explained, “Well if something sad happens, like you get dumped or something, well it’s nothing you can change, so you have to sort of just laugh it off. So it becomes funny. This goes for anything sad.”
I assume she just got dumped.
Anyway I walked out thinking, “Man that girl is strange”. But then I decided that there is a lot of truth to that and I should get better at laughing things off. Coincidentally, yesterday I ran to work instead of riding my bike. Took me an hour each way, so I ran for 2 hours. I was totally Forrest Gumpin’ it.
Sometimes when I run I just listen to one song and put it on repeat. I don’t know why. But on my run home I listened to “Float On” by Modest Mouse. It’s exactly what wierd tomboy Starbucks girl was talking about. She is a genius!
She also calls me “homey”. She also corrected me today; apparently any drink that is both “non-fat” and “sugar-free” is now called “Skinny”. How stupid is that. I will still order my Venti Skinny Hazelnut Latte, “Extra-Large non-fat, sugar-free hazelnut latte”. I know it’s extra work, but I protest Starbucks Lingo. You can’t change me, Starbucks! But you can make me poor!

So your cousin really didn’t do the challenge, it’s just an add - or did he and they changed his name for privacy? I just recently got a Nike+ and I LOVE it. Starbucks girl/tomboy is a genius.

Looks like Sia will be in Colorado and Arizona in February.

So this is your first post of vertical shots… do you do many of them in general?? I just noticed that. I’m not a professional.

Hi Jen,
No, not my first post of vertical shots. But on my web site, I only post horizontal shots. I could tell you why I do that, but I would have to shoot you. (why do you want to know?)

can’t remember who it was that said, “close up, life is a tragedy; from a distance, a comedy.” Or something like that.
