Switzerland
I just returned from an amazing trip from Switzerland. For less than $1000 bucks (including lodging, round-trip airfare, etc) I did the following:
1. Free-Skied the Swiss Alps.
2. Enjoyed some amazing food.

(who says International Cuisine has to cost a fortune?)
3. Got up close and personal with the Matterhorn via cable car and snowshoe.

(taken with a regular ol’ 50mm lens on a Canon 5D (ff!) so yeah, I was REAL close - I’m a sucker for contrasty BW)
4. Socialized with people from Switzerland (of course), Germany, Sweden, and learned a LOT about what these people really think of USA and Americans.
5. Lived the life of a Swiss (lived in an apartment, went grocery shopping, commuted by city bus, etc).
6. Spent my time on the airplane learning Italian for my next trip in May (via instructional CDs), finished a valuable book, “The Millionaire Next Door” and designing the new blueprint for my life and my businesses (that was worth the $500 airfare in itself)
7. And the primary objective of the trip: to travel within Switzerland with my camera in hand and get some of my best scenic/fine art photography to date and re-ignite my passion for photography from a personal standpoint. Mission accomplished!
Needless to say, I have a lot of blogging to do! I will take a about an hour of every day for the rest of the week, starting tomorrow, to show off some photography and ramble on about my adventures. So check back often!
For now, here’s one shot of ze Matterhorn! (come back for more, I haven’t even started looking through my photos yet. I have hundreds to go through!)

Thanks to ultra-vagabond Timothy Ferris for the education on how to pull this off! And thanks to Kendra for keeping the studio humming in my absence! And thanks to Jenny for being so supportive and encouraging me to follow this never ending carpe diem drive that I seem to have.
Life is short, especially when you compare it to the size of the world!

Carpe Diem! You do that better than anyone I know! Did you ski down the Matterhorn? You should have. Did you drink that fancy hot chocolate (Swiss Miss)? And cheese (Swiss)?
