What kind of man wears Old Spice?
As of two days ago… I DO! It was a totally planned purchase at King Soopers!
That’s right! Laugh if you will, but I’m a cheap-cologne wearing guy. Some people will decide if they like a cologne only after seeing the price tag. Cheap… AWFUL; Expensive… REALLY NICE!
To that, I say B.S.!!!
Same goes with wine. Some people will tell you, “ohhhhh this is a WONDERFUL Merlot”… after seeing that it has a big price tag. Really they can’t even tell a Merlot from a Cabernet. I am one who will admit that if it’s wine, it just tastes like… wine! My friend Terence and I like filling wine glasses to the rim at fancy events, which is not the “proper” way to pour a wine. We think it’s funny. Jenny said he was doing that at my Swiss show yesterday. I guess he thought it was a little too stuffy!
Anyway, I am wearing Old Spice now. I like being a cheap cologne wearer. And there’s a fine line - just a drop will do ya, but if I am in the mood to offend, I POUR that stuff on!!

I read your article in the August 2006 issue of Rangefinder, and as a photographer who never wanted a blog, was inspired to create one. Just wanted to say that you are my type of man - I, too, love Old Spice and wish my husband would use it. Come to think of it, there is such as thing as a gift, isn’t there? I can’t stand to smell the so-called “expensive” colognes. You go, Mark!
