Photographer meets Dentist

So ever since my infected root canal, I have been getting some awesome attention by my dentist here in Colorado, Dr. Greenhalgh (I am finally learning how to pronounce it… like “green-halzcsh”, You know… Greenhalzsch, try it!) It’s the last part that’s tricky, the zsch sounds like when you say, “I’m going to run over to Tarzschay (slang for Target) and pick up a new toothbrush!”, or “Should I show up for my teeth cleaning in a tux, or is this something that is a little more cazsch (slang for casual). So yeah, it’s Greenhalzsch. :)

Anyway, I did a photo shoot for their entire staff, and I am going to do some “after” photos of some of his patients! It’s been a fun project. Dr. Greenhalgh is not only a Dentist but he seems very savvy with business and marketing. He’s about to launch a new web site and he’s even going to have a blog!! For a dentist, that’s pretty cool. I am trying to work with my cousins in AZ to do some of that, too.

So anyway, our first shoot was at Red Rocks. The light was perfect. Everyone was in great spirits and it turned out to be a really fun shoot!

First, meet the Doctor with the fun-to-speak last name, Dr. Greenhalgh

Let me tell you something about him, real quick. I love how he works. I went in for an emergency in the beginning. But then he was like, “hoooold on mister, let’s figure out what else is happening in there!”. He stressed the importance of a detailed exam. He’s all about preventative dental health. He wants to make sure I don’t have any other potential problems. Turned out there are a few little things he wants to take care of, and I have some metal fillings that might need to be replaced with porcelain. I am just really blown away at how he really wants my teeth to have a clean bill of health! I appreciate it too. I want to keep my mouth in awesome shape so that I can be one of those guys who goes in for a regular teeth cleaning and not have to worry about emergency’s. I am almost “that guy”!

Anyway, he has an awesome staff. At my first appointment I called him out on something. Once I read a great book about customer service called, “Building the Happiness Centred Business” by Dr. Paddi Lund. I actually know one of the guys who wrote a review on the back cover of his book! Dr. Greenhalgh is running an incredible business and he does this by hiring extremely NICE and HAPPY people! It really makes a difference in the customer experience.

So here is his team, they are all super nice!

And some staff portraits (notice how they all have amazing teeth! Coincidence???) :-)

I even took some shots at the office. This is the first smiling person you meet when you go into the office!

They are very busy over there!

And kind of a goofy shot!

Dr. Greenhalgh gave me permission to offer my peeps a special teeth whitening! Here is his exact offer:
“we are happy to offer your clients or referrals, complimentary whitening after a complete examination and full set of xrays.”.

Trust me that’s a great deal. As a person who has never liked going to the dentist, I feel SO MUCH BETTER now that I have had a detailed exam. I will no longer have that dark cloud hanging over my head, wondering if my teeth are healthy or not! So I recommend you call him soon!

They all have such pretty smiles! Such white, healthy teeth. I wish I lived there so I could go to Doc Green…(that’s what I would call him).
