Arizona Wedding at Villa Siena, Nicole and Tim!
I think last week I shot the first Thursday Wedding of my career. This season is interesting like that, I have several Monday, Tuesday and Wed weddings. I’m not complaining, I love it! I have photographed at Villa Siena in Arizona on a few occasions and the people there are just great to work with!
I was at this wedding for 6 hours and it was a good challenge that I was happy to take on… a completely dark, outdoor wedding. Trust me folks, that’s tricky! But I’m happy with what we got! Let’s get started!
First, meet the couple! You probably recognize them from their engagement shoot, just a handful of posts down from this one! I don’t think I have ever featured a “grand entrance” photo on my blog, or as the intro photo for the post! WOW! History in the making!
Let’s rewind to the beginning of the day, shall we?
Villa Siena is a very cool place and it sure does look like an Italian Villa… but no, we are actually in Arizona!
I love the “getting ready” shots. I just keep to myself, and act like a fly on the wall…
Can you believe I am actually starting to get requests from brides for the “Creepy guy with the camera” shot? So, ahem… “Hey, there’s that creepy fella with the camera!”
Details are some of my favorites!
Pretty bouguet!
…look closely and you will find a ring! (Don’t worry folks, I put it there)
All the rings together now!
Then suddenly, a gift appeared for Nicole! Everybody watch, while she opens it!
It came with a letter that had thousands of terms of endearment…
Nicole got Tim a gift, too. I wanted to steal it! BLING!
Back to the make-up
Meanwhile… there’s the man of the hour! Tim is sort of a hippie and doesn’t believe in wearing shoes! Not even for his wedding! (just kidding, this hippie is about to join the Army!)
DANG that looks good!
Show it to mom… she is impressed!
A few shots of Tim, lookin good. Soon Tim will be in boot camp. Good luck, Tim!
Tim and his Brother
The guys
Nicole is still getting ready!
I love photographing Nicole, she photographs very easily!
Here’s a great shot of the couple
Nicole requested the ever-famous “kissing with the veil over the head” shot.
Here’s the setting for the wedding. At night Villa Siena looks VERY COOL
The first Kiss!
They seem happy and confident about their decision to get married!
Back in the reception room, check out their cake!
Nicole and her sister were cracking me up
First Dance, y’all.
Sometimes I catch the flash from other guests who take a photo at the exact same moment that I do! I usually like it when that happens, it totally ruins what I was probably TRYING to do… but sometimes it gives it a cool effect.
A toast to the lovely couple!
Nicole dances with her father
Tim and his mom
Nicole and her Grandfather, who I thought was AWESOME!
And off in a blaze of sparklers they go!
Thanks again Nicole and Tim, and thanks to the peeps at Villa Siena! I had such a great time and wish you both a long, loving marriage together!
